‘Tis the season to get swindled by the hopeful eyes and endearingly high-pitched pleas of adorable little Girl Scouts everywhere. They have it all figured out: cute kids and cookies are a flawless combination to open the hearts – and, more relevantly, wallets – of Americans everywhere. And, if you’re like me, that means you bought 10 boxes and feel too ashamed to eat them all straight out of the plastic sleeve. No worries! With this vegan Thin Mint Oreo milkshake, your gluttonous indulgence can now be justified as an exercise in creativity.
And it’s vegan, which means that you’re really just martyring your own health for the planet’s. So if you’re looking for a creamy, chocolatey, minty dessert that you can guzzle down through a straw in our odd March heatwave, just remember: by making this milkshake, you’re supporting
Thin Mints Girl Scouts, bravely taking a stance against moderation global warming, and treating yourself all at once.

…And if that’s not a good enough reason for you, then I’ll give you one more: these are delicious. Thin Mints and Oreos are an age-old (I assume) and unbeatable combination so good that I’m pretty sure the only way you can mess it up is by squirting some mustard on them or something equally as blasphemous. We’ve seen them in cupcakes, cakes, ice cream, and yes, even other milkshakes.
But, as we’re transitioning to a vegan blog, Sarah and I were surprised – and our sensibilities mildly offended – to only find vegan Thin Mint Oreo milkshakes designed to be healthy.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for finding creative ways to satisfy cravings without breaking the calorie bank (or the seam of your pants), but sometimes we just want a heavy, unadulterated, classically crafted milkshake. One that’s so thick and creamy you have to suck the straw with such vigor that inappropriate puns are downright inevitable.
That’s what this vegan Thin Mint Oreo milkshake is: an unapologetically delicious treat.
Vegan Thin Mint Oreo Milkshake
This recipe makes two servings.
- 8 Thin Mint cookies
- 8 Oreos
- 1 pint of So Delicious cashew milk vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup nut or soy milk (we recommend vanilla flavored)
How to Put This in Your Mouth:
- Throw it all in a blender. Blend for 15 seconds or until smooth.
- Optional: top with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, cookies, caramel, and any other sweet thing until just looking at it gives you cavities.
